Mayor’s Order 2006-61, Delegation and Transfer of Authority pursuant to D.C. Law 16-51, the District Department of the Environment Establishment Act of 2005

Why yes, this IS another work-related post.  Whatever in the world gave that away?

As I mentioned yesterday, my current work project has me going through old Mayor’s Orders, page by page.  I’ve just come across an amazingly well researched order.  Truly, I think my predecessor must have helped immensely on this because there is no way that whoever drafted the order could have had all of the relevant information for it.  But even with my admiration for how well researched this Order is, I can’t help but criticize.

Because this Order amends twenty-three previous Orders. In the following order:

  • 2003-41
  • 87-48
  • 98-46
  • 98-85
  • 99-139
  • 96-160
  • 94-114
  • 98-166
  • 98-12
  • 98-86
  • 98-58
  • 98-44
  • 98-45
  • 98-47
  • 98-50
  • 98-51
  • 98-52
  • 98-53
  • 2001-3
  • 2005-33
  • 2003-146
  • 2005-70
  • 2004-46

If the generic you are going to research well enough to find twenty three Orders that need to be amended, why not bother to put them in chronologically/numerically?
