Commissioner’s Order 68-139: Appointments and Reappointments – Commission on the Status of Women (my emphasis)
The appointees in this Order include:
- Mrs. Viola Darius
- John B. Duncan
- Dr. Dorothy Ferebee
- Mrs. Robert W. Boyd
- Miss Jane Marilley
1. Is the lack of a title/honorific for the lone man appointed supposed to be an indication that the women are more important? Or that the man is so important that he doesn’t need to be called “Mr.”?
2. Does Mrs. Robert W. Boyd have a status other than “wife of Robert W. Boyd”?
