This is when I decided to stop and go home last night.
I learned some time ago (a week? two weeks?) that, at least in the past, prisoners really did make license plates. There was a Mayor’s Order or a Commissioner’s Order about it, maybe about making inauguration license plates. I don’t recall the details (the story of my life).
Well, until 1967, DC prisoners also worked in the “Broom and Canvas Products Shop” and “Pre-Cast Concrete Plant.” 1967 also involved MANY lawsuits against the Department of Corrections. Related? I wonder.
